Dark Matter hits store shelves on Monday (22nd). It's a project that was written for the horror fans but let's not forget where it all began: Future Winds.
People seem to really love this book and I get emails from time to time asking about a sequel. I've penned a script for another, but I don't know if it will ever see the light of day.
I polled a few communities a while back, asking people who their favorite characters are. The answers were diverse, but there was one, very, clear winner: the artificial intelligence drone, Aries.
The final story in Dark Matter's lineup is one of my favorites. Go out with a bang, right? It also stars, you guessed it, that lovable heap of metal and circuitry. Titled Outpost 2187, the short takes place in the years following the events on Flare.
But that's not all, folks. Both the first and seventh story of the thirty found in Dark Matter are also Future Winds spin-offs. These two are prequel stories for characters you already know. There are a couple more stories that make reference to the Future Winds universe, but I wouldn't consider them tie ins, more so Easter eggs for fans to find.
Looking forward to Monday. Dark Matter is a pretty big deal and- in case you have yet to read Future Winds, you can snag it for free on Kindle this weekend!
With love and madness,
